Teach with Employer Training Canada

We are building a small roster of practitioner-instructors who deliver structured AI-assisted workflow training to Canadian small and mid-sized business teams. If you have hands-on experience in your field and want to teach occasionally — without committing to a full-time school — this is for you.

What we look for

Four signals we look for in every instructor

These are non-negotiable. Without all four, we are not the right fit — and you probably don't want us either.

01

Practitioner experience

You do this work for real clients (or for your own business). Theory-only or course-only background is not a fit. Verifiable past work matters more than years.

02

Specific expertise area

You go deep in at least one of: AI workflows, digital marketing, customer communication, CRM, operations, local visibility, or an adjacent business workflow area. Generalists who don't pick a lane don't teach as well.

03

Live-online teaching ability

You can lead a 2-hour live online session, facilitate worksheet exercises, answer real questions in real time, and stay engaging through video conference. Pre-recorded course experience is good but not the same skill.

04

Documentation discipline

You're comfortable writing SOPs, worksheets, and completion records — and comfortable working within compliance boundaries (no fabricated credentials, no AI portraits, no promised business outcomes).

How it works

From application to first cohort

The process is intentionally light — we want to confirm fit before either side over-invests time.

01

Application

Email us with your bio, expertise, LinkedIn, and (if available) samples of past training or client work. Use the Apply button above — the mailto link pre-fills a structured template.

02

Initial conversation

30-minute video call to align on positioning, the kind of cohorts we run, and whether your expertise maps to current demand. We're honest about volume — we're early-stage.

03

Pilot session (paid)

You deliver one 2-hour module from a syllabus we'd like you to lead. We pay for the pilot. This is for both of us — you see how we work, we see how you teach.

04

Onboarding

Verified bio published on the Instructors page, scheduling begins, you join future cohorts as availability lines up. Co-developing new courses is encouraged.

What we offer

What this role gives — and what it doesn't

Straight talk. We are an early-stage Canadian employer training brand, not an established school.

What we offer

  • Flexible scheduling — teach when you have capacity, no full-time commitment
  • Paid per session, rates negotiated based on expertise and role
  • Co-developed course materials — you don't have to build the curriculum from scratch alone
  • Brand and marketing support — we handle lead generation and content marketing
  • Clear compliance boundaries — we maintain the training-first / no-grant-agent positioning
  • A small, real-practitioner roster — no "AI guru" theater

What we do not offer

  • Guaranteed booking volume — we are early-stage and cohort demand varies
  • Payment for non-delivery time outside of paid pilot and co-development hours
  • Government-affiliation framing unless you have verifiable credentials we can confirm
  • AI-generated portraits, fabricated awards, or "approved provider" framing — we don't ask you to misrepresent yourself
  • Lead lists or client introductions outside of agreed cohort delivery
  • Long-term exclusivity demands — you can teach elsewhere

Important to read first

What we expect from instructor profiles

Compliance boundaries that apply to everyone on the roster, including the founder.

No fabricated credentials, no AI portraits, no government-affiliation claims

Instructors on Employer Training Canada list real names, verified credentials, and real photos. We do not use AI-generated headshots, fabricated awards, "celebrity expert" framing, or claims of government affiliation. If your background is great, it stands on its own — we don't dress it up.

Employer Training Canada is a training provider, not a grant application agency. Instructors do not represent themselves as government partners. We do not make business outcome guarantees (sales, rankings, conversion) in any course material, lesson plan, or marketing copy that goes out under our name.
